Position Overview

Responsible for achieving and surpassing volume growth goals for assigned region(s). Reporting directly to the SVP of marketing, this position is a critical member of the regional team working daily/weekly with the SVP of Marketing, regional leadership including market CEO and hospital administrators, JV Partner, local physicians/service providers and community leaders to identify volume growth opportunities, understand competitive dynamics and create strategies that will exceed annual goals.  

 

The regional business development manager will also work closely with the centralized branding and advertising team to help develop go-to-market strategies that support growth plans, support the communities we serve and identify customer/area growth opportunities.

Essential Job Functions

  • Cultivates win-win relationships with key referral sources to drive patient volume within assigned facilities
  • Supports development and execution of programs to engage with prospective and current patients to generate additional referrals
  • Acts as a brand ambassador and community liaison to build reputation and connection with the communities we serve
  • Works collaboratively with the corporate brand team to execute local marketing campaigns
  • Successfully executes product launches (e.g. promotion, education, etc.) to meet regional goals
  • Gathers, assimilates and analyzes market and competitive information to ensure local marketing activities are effective and efficient
  • Acts as marketing liaison to regional staff
  • Facilitates and grows relationship with hospital partner staff

Other Job Functions

  • Achieves 40+ sales visits weekly
  • Maintains and mines the referral/contact database
  • Continually updates competitor maps
  • Provides weekly/monthly reporting as assigned
  • Attends staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required
  • Travels to all facility locations within assign region
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (preferably in marketing or business administration)
  • Clinical training with appropriate certifications & work experience in the healthcare industry preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years sales, business development or field marketing experience with direct responsibility for meeting sales goals, required (preferably in healthcare) 
  • Demonstrated customer service skills experience required
  • Ability to interpret and disseminate information, including key information about changes in the marketplace and patient utilization patterns
  • Demonstrated expertise in using consultative sales models, required
  • Experience in making presentations and public speaking, required
  • Experience in crafting proposals to garner business and/or or solidify relationships, required
  • Healthcare knowledge and experience, preferred
  • Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication
