Position Overview

Reporting to the Director of Brand Marketing & VP of Marketing operations, the purpose of this position is to support the activities of the Marketing department associated with the development and execution of effective brand and marketing plans for the Emerus family of healthcare brands.  As part of that work, the marketing intern will provide assistance to field staff and external business partners. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Assist in the coordination of various marketing projects including, direct mail, print ads, networking, internet marketing, graphic design and social media
  • Support the successful completion of multiple projects in a fast–paced, entrepreneurial environment and under tight deadlines to meet established key performance indicators
  • Organize visits and/or arranging meetings with internal and external groups
  • Attend local trade shows, conferences, networking events representing Emerus or our family of brands
  • Assist with data input and coordination of marketing’s Project Management System
  • Archive daily marketing metrics that achieve overall business goals the department
  • Conduct market research using the internet, market specific and industry specific organizations and other relevant sources, which includes the identification of all regional competitors (hospitals, urgent care, emergency care, hospice and other health providers)
  • Draft meeting minutes, marketing plans and reports as required

Other Job Functions

  • Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required
  • Coordinate travel when applicable
  • Maintain internal/external directory
  • Develop a strong understanding of company’s products and services
  • Coordinate with internal departments to respond quickly to customer needs, requests and problems
  • Assist in various duties as needed

Basic Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED, required
  • Have, or in the process of completing college degree, required
  • 1 year of marketing experience, required
  • Previous experience with social media, email marketing, media writing and project management as it relates to marketing, preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Products, required
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in changing environment
  • Ability to learn other software programs, preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, required
  • Health care experience, preferred
  • Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication
