Position Overview

The purpose of the Lead Clinical Systems Analyst position is to facilitate multi-project management and change control. The lead analyst will lead the clinical systems team in system build, maintenance, implementation and training in support of multiple Clinical Information Systems (CIS) critical to Emerus’ clinical operations.

Essential Job Functions

  • Leads as point, in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with supported clinical systems and participates in design activities independently
  • Leads clinical team in development and management of project plans, for the deployment of clinical systems application systems, documenting project schedules, implementation timelines, training and go-live plans, etc.
  • Analyzes business operations and manages clinical system builds to Emerus standards and practices
  • Leads clinical application conversion projects, upgrades, quality assurance testing and documentation of system procedures
  • Leads clinical applications user provisioning and security setup coordination
  • Leads the planning, design, development, build and/or configuration of supported applications/systems
  • Leads clinical team in defining and adhering to communication of design patterns and best practices, in service oriented analysis, design and development
  • Leads clinical applications build, maintenance and support
  • Lead facility go-live support, and serve as point of contact for on-going production maintenance/support and troubleshooting
  • Develop and facilitate clinical system orientation training program to physician, clinical and operational staff
  • Lead all CIS application upgrade and implementation quality assurance initiatives, in following established change management governance and structure
  • Lead change management clinical applications representation and fulfill documentation requirements
  • Serve as mentor and resource to defined facility based super users and other team members in development of their skill sets and clinical application knowledge base
  • Manage CIS applications build, maintenance, testing and support
  • Develop and manage project plans, for the deployment of clinical systems application systems, documenting project schedules, implementation timelines, training and go-live plans, etc.
  • Leads clinical systems team as primary liaison and point between end users, business and systems analysts, developers, project management, third parties, leadership and vendors.
  • Provides clinical applications after-hour support
  • Provide customer support at a level consistent with Emerus’ standard of excellence

Other Job Functions

  • Leads clinical applications demonstration and presentations to leadership and staff
  • Plans and manages project assignments, of varying scope, independently
  • Provide guidance to team members on task prioritization, planning and issue resolution
  • Recognizes and Identifies ongoing educational needs and reports to the Training and Development team, as necessary
  • Identify opportunities for improvement to increase team’s effectiveness and efficiency and develop action plans working with team members and the director
  • Leads clinical workflow meetings for information gathering and system design
  • Represents IT leadership, in meetings and on issues, as needed
  • Serves as a resource to senior leadership
  • Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required.
  • Overnight travel up to 50%
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Nursing Degree (LVN or RN), preferred
  • 6+ years clinical analyst experience, required
  • 3+ year clinical applications training experience, preferred
  • Epic certification required
  • Direct experience with Epic ASAP and ClinDoc build preferred
  • Direct experience with Epic ASAP and ClinDoc build experience preferred
  • Experience leading clinical system installation projects including designing, building, testing and conversion, required
  • Experience Developing, coordinating and implementing system changes and upgrades, required
  • Working knowledge of Emergency Department and/or Inpatient operations, required
  • System integration knowledge, required
  • Experience bringing projects and tasks to successful conclusion
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Visio, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
