Position Overview

The HR Operations Manager is responsible for providing leadership in executing the human resources strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the company, specifically in the areas of employee relations, change management, payroll, compliance, compensation, benefits, and employee services. The Manager will be instrumental in leading these HR functions and positioning the company as a best place to work. This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources.

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead the performance of the company's Human Resources Operations function and develop scalable processes in line with the company’s growth strategy.
  • Serve as HR business partner for the corporate based employees.
  • Conduct investigations as needed.
  • Provide operations support to the Regional HR Directors, Payroll Administrator, and HR Shared Services staff.
  • Design and implement cost effective and legally compliant programs, policies, practices and processes that effectively communicate and support the company’s strategic vision and business objectives.
  • Responsible for compliance with Federal and State regulations pertaining to all areas of the Human Resources function.
  • Simplify and automate services and processes to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage vendors, brokers, consultants, plan administrators, etc. to ensure the company is receiving quality expertise, guidance, data, recommendations and services at an appropriate cost.
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition and Organization Development and Training teams.

Basic Qualifications

The HR Operations Manager position requires a strategic and experienced Human Resources leader who relies on extensive experience in a variety of the field’s concepts and practices and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals. She/he must have the ability to bring immediate credibility to the Human Resources function through her/his professional qualifications and leadership skills as well as project the highest levels of integrity. She/he must be a decisive individual who can strategically and tactically evaluate and implement sophisticated HR related programs and initiatives.

  • 10 years of experience in HR management
  • 3 years supervisory experience
  • Strong working experience with payroll administration, employee relations and compensation
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • SPHR or PHR preferred
  • Workday HRIS experience strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry preferred
  • Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication
