Position Overview

The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant in carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounting Department.  Perform account reconciliations, journal entry postings, fixed asset management, and special projects.

Essential Job Functions

  • Daily posting of cash to the general ledger for multiple bank accounts
  • Posting of bi-weekly payroll amounts to the general ledger for multiple entities
  • Provide assistance during month-end and year-end close procedures
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries for day-to-day transactions
  • Prepare analysis and review of accounts as needed
  • Maintain the fixed asset sub-ledger and record depreciation expense monthly
  • Maintain organized accounting sub-ledgers for reconciliation to general ledger
  • Assist with preparation for year-end financial statement audits and tax audits
  • Assist with preparation of financial ad hoc reports as needed

Other Job Functions

  • Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting
  • 1+ years accounting experience, required
  • CPA certification, preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Outlook), required
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, required
  • Experience with Intacct accounting software, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, required
  • Healthcare industry experience, preferred
  • Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication
