Position Overview

The purpose of this position is to provide support to leadership and to create an atmosphere that provides continuity of quality patient care in the emergent hospital environment. Learning to ensure all aspects of the hospital are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assist Hospital Administrator with overseeing all functional aspects of the hospital including Nursing, Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, Front Office and Dietary
  • Supports CNO and Hospital Administrator during facility inspections by licensing and accrediting agencies
  • Work closely with Hospital Administrator, Clinical Educator and CNO to evaluate and address the educational needs of the market
  • Assist with planning of new inpatient service lines
  • Assist Hospital Administrator with oversight of Inpatient Lead / Preceptor in the facility
  • Assist with marketing and external relationships to drive inpatient and emergency department volume
  • Assist Hospital Administrator and Quality Manager to implement the quality management system
  • Assist Hospital Administrator, Quality Manager and CNO with process improvement activities and corrective action plans in the facility
  • Responsible for interim coverage of vacant or absent Hospital Administrator positions within the region

Other Job Functions

  • Monitor facility quality indicators and support development of resolution plans by working closely with regional and corporate functions such as safety and infection control
  • Complies with all established policies, procedures and protocol in regards to the patient process, collections and customer service
  • Participate in community outreach programs
  • Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required
  • Travel to all facility locations as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree, required; BSN, preferred
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions, required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association, required; ENPC certification from ENA may be substituted for PALS certification
  • 2+ years supervisory experience in a healthcare setting, required
  • 2+ years of recent critical care or telemetry nursing experience, required
  • 5+ years total nursing experience, required
  • Knowledge of JCAHO or DNV standards, required
  • Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication
