    Position Overview

    The purpose of this position is to lead manage and oversee a multi-unit hospital system in an assigned region. The position performs a variety of duties to include: management of regional partnership integration, new facility launches, planning objectives, budgetary management, hospital operations, regulatory oversight, and ensuring CNO and Hospital Administrators are in compliance with Federal, State, facility, regional and corporate goals.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Plans and directs the operations of assigned region in support of Key Performance Indicators in accordance to the authority conferred by the hospital governing body.
    • Develops common direction for the region in line with corporate strategy and direction. Sets priorities and makes regional agenda and strategy clear to all regional team members.
    • Supports the development and implementation of clinical and patient service programs that meet client needs, regulatory requirements and patient satisfaction requirements.
    • Conducts team meetings with regional team members to discuss current objectives and performance in clear and concise terms.
    • Maintains annual budget for the assigned region. Monitors financial reports of the region to ensure budgetary compliance with facility, regional and corporate goals.
    • Develops and motivates an effective management and clinical staff to achieve regional and corporate goals.
    • Visits hospital facilities regularly to inspect operations to ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Participates in State and Federal, Licensing and Accreditation, and Internal Quality and Compliance audits.
    • Ensure that the hospital-wide quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) program and training programs address problems identified by the infection control officer or officers; and
    • Be responsible for the implementation of successful corrective action plans in affected problem areas.
    • Resolves patient and vendor complaints, which have been elevated from Hospital Administrators.
    • Conducts appropriate annual performance evaluations.
    • Completes all daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports on a timely basis meeting all prescribed deadlines.
    • Trains, motivates and develops regional staff to achieve high levels of morale and engagement.
    • Participates with the Program Management Office in the launch of new facilities and other regional and corporate projects.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree in healthcare administration, nursing, business management, or related field.
    • MBA or MHA preferred
    • 5-10 years in healthcare management with progressive operation experience.
    • Proven ability to manage a team of 5 or more manager-level team members.
    • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
    • Proven ability to mentor and develop team members.
    • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
    • Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication.
