    Position Overview

    The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will be an integral part of the Company’s monthly internal and external financial reporting and analysis, supporting the monthly revenue recognition process, providing accounting analysis and information needed for GAAP compliance, and, participating in reporting system design and maintenance to ensure accuracy and integrity of Company’s financial reporting, in addition to special projects as needed.

     

    The successful candidate will be a self-starter that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has a superior financial accounting foundation, strong understanding of internal control systems and processes, excellent communication and listening skills, and possesses a high degree of intellectual curiosity.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Provides analytical and reporting support for internal and external reporting of operating results, cash flows and balance sheets at all levels of the organization as well as non-GAAP measures and other operating metrics for Senior Management and key Stakeholders e.g. investors, lenders, JV partners, etc.
    • Provides analysis needed for monthly revenue recognition processes through the review of Patient Billing and Collection trends.
    • Works with Patient Accounting to ensure that monthly billing and collections activity is properly recorded in the revenue system to ensure revenues are reported accurately in the general ledger.
    • Monitors revenue cycle interfaces and reconciles data transfers between financial systems.
    • Research specific/unusual items which can have a significant impact on the income statement including volume trends, revenue and expense variations.
    • Prepare initial assessment of GAAP accounting treatment and application through research of accounting guidance.
    • Using knowledge of financial accounting and reporting systems and processes, make recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectives of existing workflows. Assist with the development and design of new accounting applications and reporting methods.
    • Perform other financial data gathering and analysis so as to produce timely ad hoc information relevant to internal and external user’s needs and requests.

    Other Job Functions

    • Assist the Director with maintaining reporting and accounting systems and data
    • Provide explanations and recommendations of the subject matter
    • Participate in cross-functional business projects and perform ad hoc analysis as required
    • Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required
    • Perform additional duties as assigned

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, required
    • 3 years’ experience performing sophisticated financial analysis
    • Working knowledge of financial statements and analytics, required
    • Strong GAAP knowledge, required
    • CPA, preferred, Big Four experience a plus
    • Good general business knowledge and exposure to a variety of business situations
    • Expert with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook), required
    • Strong personal initiative to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication
