    Position Overview

    The Senior Clinical Informatics Analyst position specializes in design development, testing, implementation support, training, and quality assurance of Clinical Information Systems (CIS) throughout the enterprise. 

    Essential Job Functions

    • Participates in strategy development for all clinical information technologies
    • Provides clinical oversight and expertise into the design and validation of reporting tools
    • Participates in the planning, design and development of supported clinical systems
    • Performs process analysis for optimizing clinical workflows, as necessary
    • Investigates and develops clinical decision support (CDS) tools, within all the CIS, assisting the providers and clinicians, in the care of their patients
    • Acts as a bridge between our field operations staff and our information Technology Teams
    • Ensures the CIS meet best practices and regulatory compliance needs
    • Ensures compliance with Promoting Interoperability (PI) and merit-based incentive payment systems (MIPS) regulations within the CIS.
    • Remains current on all CMS regulations
    • Assists with clinical data mining, analysis, and interpretation
    • Assists in maintaining Change Management Structure with all CIS used in clinical operations
    • Plans and manages project assignments, of varying scope, with limited supervision   
    • Provides facility go-live support, independently, and serve as point of contact for on-going production maintenance/support and troubleshooting
    • Provides customer support at a level consistent with Emerus’ standard of excellence
    • Responsible for development of detailed workflow-based curriculum for designated CIS
    • Completes training tasks outlined in CIS training project plans
    • Supports/Maintains an active super user program and facilitates end training via blended learning program
    • Develops and facilitates proficiency measures for CIS training curriculums
    • Maintains the Learning Management System
    • Gather requirements, develops, and delivers classroom style, as well as, module based training on assigned applications and projects
    • Facilitates clinical system orientation training programs to physician, clinical and operational staff independently
    • Serves as mentor and resource to defined facility based super users and other team members in development of their skill sets and CIS knowledge base

    Other Job Functions

    • Provides support to the Clinical Informatics Director and the Chief Medical Information Officer
    • Maintains confidentiality regarding information being processed, stored or accessed by the CIS
    • Provide weekly status reports of activities
    • Prepares CIS materials and provides demonstrations to leadership, as required
    • Serves as a resource to senior leadership
    • Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required.
    • Overnight travel up to 60%
    • Perform additional duties as assigned

    Basic Qualifications

    • Clinical background or licensure (RN, LPN) preferred
    • Minimum 4-years Cerner or Epic EHR experience (FirstNet/PowerChart or ASAP/Clindoc) including direct support of provider and clinical staff end users
    • Experience with e-learning platforms such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline 2 or Camtasia preferred
    • Ability to compile, code and categorize, or verify information/data
    • Ability to engage audiences and keep their interest at a high level.
    • Working knowledge of Emergency Department and/or Inpatient operations, preferred
    • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
    • Experience with adult education, instructional design and curriculum delivery, preferred
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Visio, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
    • Demonstrates highly developed communication skills, including listening, inquiry and delivering clear messages both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to present in front of professional groups and leadership
    • Strong organizational, coordination, and follow up skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to adhere to time schedules to meet project deadlines
