    Position Overview

    The purpose of the Lead Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst the management of projects, project schedules, implementation timelines, training and support of the practice management and clinical systems of Emerus. The Lead Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst develops, reviews and manages quality standards and best practices throughout the organization through the comprehensive understanding of hospital workflows and efficiencies from the clinical, revenue, operational and technical perspectives.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Super user of practice management systems who servers as mentor and resource to other team members and department based users in development of their skill sets and application knowledgebase. Knowledge of interoperability with clinical and ancillary systems
    • Gather requirements, develop and review detailed policies and procedures, standard operating procedures, training and workflow documentation
    • Lead development and manage of conversion projects for the deployment of new and /or changes to existing CIS and revenue cycle system applications, optimization processes for increased productivity, revenue generation opportunities or cost control initiatives
    • Lead facility go-live support, and serve as point person for issue tracking and on-going maintenance and support of revenue cycle systems and orientation/training schedules for revenue, administrative, clinical and central business office staff, as needed
    • Manage data validation and work with reporting and interface analysts to ensure accuracy and data verification of reports, query results and quality/state reporting
    • Provide primary support to revenue cycle systems and applications and secondary support for hardware, database, telecommunications and networking infrastructure
    • Communicate and escalate urgent needs and awareness to department management
    • Provide Revenue Cycle Application support after hours and act as a secondary escalation resource to department staff

    Other Job Functions

    • Content owner for all revenue cycle application training material
    • Integrate and fulfill the lead role as a resource of revenue cycle, clinical, operational and technical knowledge
    • Maintain confidentiality, HIPAA compliance and promotes administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to ensure the proper protection
    • Independently Leads project assignments and provides guidance to team members on task prioritization, planning and issue resolution
    • Create and initiate best practices throughout the organization and identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies
    • Act as a Liaison between revenue cycle staff, department leads/managers and other IT team members. Work alongside the Director on cross departmental initiatives and serve as a resource to senior and executive leadership
    • Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required
    • Travel to all facility locations as required
    • Perform additional duties as assigned

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent technical work experience within the healthcare industry
    • 5 years’ experience in Revenue Cycle Systems or Practice Management, required
    • 2 year experience with Epic Resolute Hospital and professional billing required
    • Experience in healthcare business intelligence and reporting, required
    • Experience with SQL Server databases, Crystal Reports & MS Reporting Services, preferred
    • Knowledge EHR/EDIS Systems, preferred
    • Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication
