    Position Overview

    The purpose of this position is to coordinate assigned projects from initiation through completion, delivering both on-time and within budget.  This role is highly interactive with the other departments within Emerus.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Develop and track project schedules for all projects assigned
    • Manage resources with peers and functional managers
    • Coordinate all departments that must come together throughout the project; dependent upon the project, this could include Construction, Management, Staffing, HR, IT, Materials, Licensing, Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, Quality, Marketing, Compliance, Physician Staffing and Credentialing, Policies & Procedures, Forms, etc
    • Identify and manage project risks and issues
    • Ensure that all required contracts are signed; review the content of each contract and highlight potential issues to the contract “owner” and the person who is to sign it; ensure all contracts meet minimum requirements before they are recommended for signature
    • Report on project budgets
    • Provide project status reports to management
    • Work with Supply Chain, Construction and Clinical to maintain equipment lists, supply lists, and associated specification sheets for new hospital opening projects
    • Develop and manage Turnover and Operations Readiness plans for new construction projects

    Other Job Functions

    • Review blueprints for new hospital opening projects regarding layout and electrical placement, collect clinical requirements for the building, prioritize and track completion
    • Perform audits before hospital openings to validate all needed materials are in place
    • Develop a punch list of items to be corrected in the new hospital; work with the team to prioritize and track completion
    • Work with Supply Chain to confirm supplies are delivered to new hospitals as required
    • Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required
    • Collect lessons learned and track completion in future projects
    • Take initiative to keep abreast of developments in Project Management and pursue continuous education
    • Fill in for the supervisor when needed
    • Travel to all hospital locations as required
    • Lead additional projects not related to hospital openings, as needed
    • Perform additional duties as assigned
    • Ability to work off-hours and on call when required

    Basic Qualifications

    • 3 years required, 5 years preferred experience as a project/program manager in healthcare, construction or engineering
    • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead teams on complex projects completion
    • Demonstrated ability to hold successful meetings
    • Communicates well both verbally and in written form
    • Able to maintain clear and concise documentation
    • Balances driving details while keeping an eye on completion of the end goal
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Organizational skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities
    • Takes initiative
    • Shows an interest in learning new things      
    • Follows through on commitments and expects the same of others
    • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
    • Working knowledge of MS Project and Adobe Acrobat preferred
    • Working knowledge of Smartsheet a plus
    • Strong spatial skills preferred
    • A strong customer service focus is required
    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher required
    • PMP required
    • Familiarity with DNV Interpretive Guidelines, CMS CoP, ISO and NIAHO or other regulatory standards and accreditation organizations is advantageous
    • Fluency in English; written and oral communication required.
